Winter Moon

Winter in the Northwest is often cloudy and wet. When the opportunity to take a picture of the moon shining in the sky presents itself, I’ll take it. I waffled back and forth between color and black and white. I actually did most of the editing in B&W, but hit color to look at it afterwards and was surprised by the blue glow on the wisps of clouds drifting by the moon. Part of my editing was making sure I had a deep black in the sky while keeping the wisps visible.
