Hakone Ropeway

Hakone is a major internal tourist destination for Japan. It is an active volcanic area which in Japan means onsen, or hot springs. There is also a transit loop that includes a cable car and a massive pedestrian ferry made to look like an age of sail tall ship. The ropeway goes directly over a massive fumerole and oh boy did the sulfer smell hit like a rock. They even had signs telling you not to ride if you have any breathing issues!
